Kevin Wooten – Adult Ministry/Finance
Kevin and his wife, Mary, came to Southside in 1989. They have raised their family in Lexington. Kevin initially led the campus ministry but is currently in the role of Executive Minister. His has responsibilities in the following areas: finance, adult education, facility management, administration, teaching. In their spare time, Kevin and Mary enjoy spending time outside, especially on the lake. 

Prior to moving to Lexington, Kevin received his Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Math and his Master’s degree in ministry from Abilene Christian University. Kevin and Mary spent 4 years living in Vero Beach, Florida where Kevin was on staff at a local church as an Associate Minister.

Evan Saxton – Campus Ministry
Evan stepped into the role of campus minister in August 2018 after interning with Cats for Christ for four years, during which time he completed his MA in Christian Ministry through Abilene Christian University. He first came to Southside in the spring of 2007 and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2009. He and his wife Danielle met as students in campus ministry, and they have been married since 2014. Previously, Evan served as the assistant director at Blue Grass Christian Camp.

Evan and Danielle enjoy being outside and hiking together, and Evan loves sports (Danielle loves books). Campus ministry provided life-changing experiences for both of them, and they love having the privilege of walking with students and watching the way God works in the lives of people who seek Him during the college years.

Gregory Williams – Worship Ministry
Gregory Williams moved to Lexington in the fall of 1991 to attend college and quickly made Southside his home. He graduated from EKU with a degree in nursing. He met his wife, Sandy, in the Cats For Christ campus ministry. They have a son named Ethan, who attends the University of Kentucky.

Gregory began leading worship at Southside and also in Cats For Christ in 1992. In 2002, he was hired part time as our Worship Minister. As leader of the Worship Ministry, he plans our Sunday morning assemblies, oversees communion, and works with the praise team singers as well as the audio-visual team.
